We are pleased to welcome the Recovery Center of Northern Virginia (RCONV) team to the Aquila family. Aquila Recovery acquired the Recovery Center of Northern Virginia from owner, Desi Farren, in August 2018, adding 2 new clinics to our growing facilities. We are pleased to extend the Aquila model of outpatient addiction treatment services to our new Virginia locations, Leesburg and Herndon, including outpatient and intensive outpatient programs.
As part of our continuing effort to keep offering the highest standards of care during recovery, Aquila Recovery is pleased to announce that we have earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care Accreditation.
Living a full life in recovery from addiction can have many moving parts but the ability to be present in our moments, and pay attention to ourselves, are key components. Taking time in our day to pause, relax and reevaluate assists in building the muscles of a successful recovery.
As we gather to celebrate the holiday this weekend, many of us will reflect on what we are thankful for. For those who struggle with substance use disorders and for their loved ones, it can be hard to find many things to be thankful for. Substance use disorders (more commonly known as addictions) are devastating illnesses to many Americans. At Aquila Recovery, our mission is to help those who suffer from addictions to achieve recovery and live a healthy life. While there is always more work to be done, it is good to reflect on what we are thankful for.
Sober Living Homes (aka "Recovery Homes") are becoming more common around the country and you may even have some in your community. So, what are Sober Living Homes and why are they becoming so prevalent?
On July 11, 2016 our very own Johnny Allem was presented with the William L. While Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award.
We are excited to announce that we have opened another addiction treatment program facility in the Washington, D.C. area!
